MONT ROCKY, Virginia – Live music and performances are back, but there’s just one more thing you can do to keep yourself entertained at a Rocky Mount venue.
Harvester Performance Center announced Tuesday that it will require guests to present proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to participate in all events beginning October 1.
Officials said they were doing so to better protect patrons, staff, volunteers and artists from the virus.
Guests must present a completed or digital vaccination record that shows the last COVID-19 vaccination was administered at least 14 days prior to the event.
Officials said they would also accept a negative COVID-19 lab test result that shows the test was done within 48 hours of the event for those who are not vaccinated and children under 12. that are not eligible for the vaccine. They will not allow a home test as evidence.
As of August 5, everyone in the building, including guests, staff, contractors, volunteers and performers, is required to wear masks unless they are eating, drinking, or actively performing.
Harvester officials have said those unable to attend the event due to coronavirus issues or concerns can request a full refund of tickets until 5 p.m. on October 7 by calling 540-484-8277 .
