The Broadway Palm is raising funds this summer for the Gulf Coast Humane Society.

“The Wizard of Oz” plays now until August 12, and during the run, the theater sells paper paw prints for $1 each. Legs can be decorated and will be on display throughout the theatre.

All proceeds from sales will go directly to the Gulf Coast Humane Society.

Based on Frank L. Baum’s book and 1939 film, “The Wizard of Oz” tells the adventures of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and Toto too. Fly over the rainbow with Dorothy as she rides a tornado through The Merry Old Land of Oz and learns that no matter how far our journeys take us, there is no place like at home. Listen to songs from the score that you know and love, such as “Follow the Yellow Brick Road”, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “We are going to see the wizard.”

Performances take place Wednesday through Sunday evenings with selected matinees.
