I'm the happy gilmore of many things. nowadays, after being tethered to MI (figuratively, although literally might have been a better story), i have made an executive decision to get back on the road again with touring. About a year and a half ago I bought a honda element for this sole reason. although the vehicle has many perks with its versatility, i would like to take full advantage of this versatility while on the road and pursuing what ultimately makes me happy... performing.
Thanks to some great young, ambitious college kids, the tour is already coming together. the first show is the hardest one to get, and once a young man named andrew from NC confirmed it with me, i knew the tour was actually going to happen. a few more have been nailed down and so far, they're all for schools i have NOT played before = really exciting.
i'd like to keep the table open for anyone at the schools i'll be visiting to request some songs and covers and i'll see what I can do about playing a couple in each set that they might want to hear. yes, that was a run-on sentence...
i sure picked a fine time to get back out on the road. I swear gas was like $2 last time i hit the road for a long tour. so seeing as how it may be as high as $5 by the time i leave town, i just will be hoping at this point to be able to straight up make it home.

Tweaker

Tweaker is an American alternative rock collaboration founded by Chris Vrenna in the late 1990s. Tweaker's musical style
incorporates synthpop, progressive rock, modern jazz and electronica genres, and is characterized by a generally
melancholy and sombre sound with distinctive artwork to match.
The album The Attraction to All Things Uncertain was Vrenna's "solo" debut and it was not until the follow-up album, 2
a.m. Wakeup Call, that Clint Walsh was announced as a permanent fixture to the band. While Vrenna and Walsh supply most instruments and electronics, many other famous musicians have lent their voices and talents to Tweaker, including Robert Smith, David Sylvian, Burton C. Bell, Will Oldham, Hamilton Leithauser, Buzz Osborne, Jonathan Bates and Johnny Marr.
The albums that have been released follow a central theme that was planned out and this was given to the collaborators.
Both albums' cover art were paintings by Joe Sorren.
Tweaker wrote and performed the title theme to Doom 3, which was released via the band's website.
While the Doom 3 theme was heavy metal-oriented (to the point of often being misattributed to Tool), most of Tweaker's music presents a unique combination of synthpop, shoegaze, modern jazz, and industrial.
Tweaker is to release a new album in 2008, as stated by Waxploitation in the official Tweaker forums. Waxploitation is
Tweaker's management company and doesn't always have solid information about project time frames.
