Artists often bandy about the term, but this show is the definition of multi-media, synergizing music, film and circus:
Live music accompanies multiple projected images with synchronized lighting. And performers are suspended from fabric while images are projected on their bodies as they perform acrobatic feats overhead.
Each song explores a different theme or emotion, some political, some sensual, some frightening, some hallucinatory. It has been described as a cross between Pink Floyd, Orbital, Cirque Du Soleil and Stan Brakhage. If punk rock and electronica fucked one night with the video camera on, SKIN would be their illegitimate lovechild who ran away to join the circus. |
